Peak wind gusts at mesonet stations included 91 mph at Camel Back Mountain, 77 mph at Simpson Spring, 69 mph at Salt Flats, 68 mph at I-80 at MP 71 East Delle, and 61 mph at Hat Island.

Wider weather episode

A widespread high wind event across Utah was followed by strong thunderstorms associated with a system spanning a three-day period. These storms produced numerous instances of severe wind gusts, in addition to a tornado, a report of hail, and flash flooding.
