Flooding was reported at the intersection of Pace Boulevard and General Meyer Avenue.

Wider weather episode

A tropical upper-tropospheric trough (TUTT) low was moving westward across the northern Gulf of Mexico. This feature brought with it, abundant moisture throughout the column as well as a focus for storms to develop. Heavy rain and flash flooding occurred in St. Bernard Parish as the TUTT low moved into the area.
