Winds caused minor damage to the Southern Bancorp building in Bismarck.
Wider weather episode
A few thunderstorms became severe in late July on the 28th and 30th along a quasi-stationary boundary draped across northern sections of the state. Severe storms were mainly oriented along a west to east line adjacent to the frontal boundary.
