A brief and non impactful tornado was observed across Skull Butte. Very low funnel cloud well photographed and documented by spotter. Multiple photos show funnel nearly on the ground. Time of event, path length, and duration derived from spotter information and radar.

Wider weather episode

Disturbances moved through a persistent southwest flow aloft across the region, which continued to provide daily afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. These storms, some of which were severe, brought strong, gusty winds, severe hail, heavy localized rainfall, and lightning.
