The Van Meter wildfire was first reported at 1124 PST on 09/07/22. The cause was unknown. As of the last report at 0530 PST on 09/17/22, the fire had burned 2639 acres and was 99 percent contained. 13 structures were lost in the fire and 5.2 million dollars had been spent on firefighting efforts.
