The drought event across the USVI is a concern to agricultural interests, as hot and dry days increase water demands, while stressing pastures, crops and native vegetation.

Wider weather episode

The rainfall deficit across the USVI improved some on August, especially for St. Croix. However, a Severe Drought continued for St. Thomas and St. Croix, and an Extreme Drought continued for St. John.
