A video of a definite funnel cloud was received from near the Mansfield Hollow Dam.

No damage was reported by the Mansfield Emergency Management officials and the broadcast media reported that dam officials reported no damage. Time estimated by radar.

A stationary front across eastern Connecticut, Rhode Island, and southeast Massachusetts provided the focus for heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms. One to 2.5 inches of rain fell in northern Connecticut. A funnel cloud was photographed in eastern Connecticut but no damage was reported at the ground.
