The entire zone remained in Severe(D2) drought through the entire month. The Cooperative Observer at Mountain Park reported 4.44 inches of precipitation which was 0.85 inches above normal.

Wider weather episode

Above normal rainfall in late June and July brought some relief to drought conditions across southern New Mexico in July.
