Severe(D2) drought persisted through the entire month. The Cloudcroft Cooperative Observer recorded 8.34 inches of precipitation which was 2.81 inches above normal.

Wider weather episode

Above normal rainfall in late June and July brought some relief to drought conditions across southern New Mexico in July.
