The U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground mesonet station at Fish Springs measured a strong wind gust of 59 mph at 3:15 pm MST as a result of a nearby microburst's outflow winds.

Wider weather episode

An active summer setup resulted in multiple reports of weather incidents, including microburst related wind gusts in portions of Utah's West Desert, a landspout, and flash flooding which included burn scar debris flows.
