A strong thunderstorm approaching Interstate 15, along the Juab/Utah County line, produced hail, with a reported maximum size of 1.5 inches. Time is estimated based on radar.

Wider weather episode

Another active setup in mid-late July resulted in numerous microburst related wind gusts in portions of Utah's West Desert Region, as well as a report of severe hail. Additionally, flash flooding was noted in southern Utah. This also coincided with a period of anomalous heat across much of the region.
