The PacifiCorp Aerie mesonet station near Park City measured an initial wind gust of 60 mph at 3:00 pm MST, followed by a peak wind gust of 65 mph at 3:10 pm MST, as a result of strong outflow from nearby convection.

Wider weather episode

Microbursts and associated outflows yielded strong wind gusts from portions of Utah's West Desert region into portions of the Wasatch Front.
