The Otero County Emergency Manager reported up to 4 inches of rain had fallen in less than 2 hours at the Waterfall Lodge and along Cox Canyon Highway.

An upper high was located over New Mexico with some deep low and mid level moisture trapped under it over the Sacramento Mountains. Training thunderstorms over the eastern slopes of the Sacramento Mountains brought up to 4 inches of rain to the area.
