A weather station on Appledore Island reported a gust to 43 mph as a convective outflow moved over the waters.

A hot and humid airmass was in place across the northeastern United States ahead of an approaching cold front with these ingredients resulting in numerous showers and thunderstorms across New Hampshire and western Maine. A severe thunderstorm

with a history of producing large hail and damaging winds moved from central New Hampshire eastward into the Seacoast and York County. This storm moved off the coast bringing gusty winds to the nearshore waters.
