County comms reported a couple of trees blown down in the Mill Spring area.

Wider weather episode

Scattered thunderstorms and storm clusters developed over western North Carolina during the afternoon and evening. A couple of the storms produced brief damaging wind gusts. Slow-moving storm cells also produced locally excessive rainfall in Union County.
