Event narrative

Public reported numerous trees blown down along Mud Bridge Rd, with a large tree down on a house, heavily damaging the roof. The roof was also blown off a barn. Additional trees and a damaged mobile home roof were reported elsewhere in western Union County.

Wider weather episode

Scattered thunderstorms developed across upstate South Carolina during the afternoon. One of the storms produced a microburst that caused significant damage in Union County.
