Most hail was dime sized, with several quarter sized stones mixed in.

An upper ridge across the region was flanked to the west by a sharp negatively tilted upper trough. Upper jet dynamics were favorable the afternoon of the 13th (Right entrance region) for numerous showers and thunderstorms.
