Event narrative

Capitol Reef National Park reported flash flooding on Sulphur Creek. Water was several feet deep and came within 2 feet or so from the bottom of the bridge on state Route 24.

Thunderstorms developed across the state on August 1, with several producing damaging outflow winds across northern Utah and isolated flash flooding in central Utah.
