Event narrative

Minor street flooding several inches deep occurred across portions of central Grand Junction as a result of heavy rain from thunderstorms. The water drained out shortly later.

Wider weather episode

A cold front progressed across western Colorado. The lift provided by the front, in addition to moderate instability and ample moisture, fueled some stronger showers and thunderstorms across the area. This led to minor street flooding and flash flooding across portions of Mesa County.
