A peak gust of 40 mph was measured at the DISW3 Devils Island C-MAN station.

An area of low pressure across Manitoba lifted a warm front across northwestern Wisconsin during the afternoon hours of the 28th. A few thunderstorms developed ahead of the following cold front later that evening. While most of the storms moving across western Lake Superior did remain below severe limits, one produced a wind gust of 40 knots at Devils Island as it passed.
