Quarter to half-dollar size hail was noted just off of Rainy River Road NW, west of Malcolm, In the Red Lake Wildlife Management area. Large hail occurred off and on over a 20-minute period.

Wider weather episode

A severe thunderstorm impacted areas of northwestern Minnesota, mainly Beltrami county, with large hail up to 1.25 inches.
