Wider weather episode
High pressure from the four corners region extended northward into the Pacific Northwest, which resulted in well above normal temperatures across the region for several days. Many stations saw temperatures exceed critical heat risk thresholds, while stations in some mountain zones saw high temperatures consecutively meet or exceed 95 degrees under the strengthening high pressure aloft.
