Numerous trees and power lines were blown down in Tugaloo State Park and in the city of Lavonia. One tree fell on a vehicle.

A cluster of thunderstorms developed near the Blue Ridge and moved southeast into the Piedmont during the evening. Brief damaging wind gusts occurred in Franklin County.
