The Texas Coastal Ocean Observing Network (TCOON) site at SPI Brazos Santiago (BZST2) reported wind gusts above 34 knots associated with a cold front producing a broken line of showers and thunderstorms starting at 5:54AM CDT and lasting through 6:36AM CDT. The highest gust recorded was measured at 37 knots at 6:00AM CDT and again at 6:12AM CDT.

The wider storm

A strong cold front brought a broken line of showers and a few thunderstorms to the Lower Texas Coast on the morning of October 25th. Several of the Texas Coastal Ocean Observing Network (TCOON) sites along with Buoy42020 reported gusts over 34 knots as the line moved through.
