The Texas Coastal Ocean Observing Network (TCOON) site at Realitos Peninsula (RLIT2) reported wind gusts above 34 knots associated with a cold front producing a broken line of showers and thunderstorms starting at 5:12AM CDT and lasting through 5:36AM CDT. The highest gust recorded was measured at 39 knots at 5:12AM CDT. Additionally, the Texas Coastal Ocean Observing Network (TCOON) site at South Padre Island Coast Guard Station (PCGT2) recorded a wind gust of 35 knots at 5:48 AM CDT.

A strong cold front brought a broken line of showers and a few thunderstorms to the Lower Texas Coast on the morning of October 25th. Several of the Texas Coastal Ocean Observing Network (TCOON) sites along with Buoy42020 reported gusts over 34 knots as the line moved through.
