High temperatures were in the mid to upper 90s.
Wider weather episode
Strong high pressure expanded into the region bringing a very warm air mass. High temperatures peaked near 100 degrees on the 7th in portions of Southwest Washington and through the Columbia River Gorge. This was a brief event however as high temperatures were in the 80s in the days immediately following.
