Event narrative

Two mature waterspouts were observed north of Big Coppitt Key. Both waterspouts had condensation funnel clouds that extended from cloud base to the surface and visible spray rings. One waterspout was tilted at a 45-degree angle. Both waterspouts moved toward the northeast.

Wider weather episode

Waterspouts developed along a convective cloud line oceanside of the Lower Florida Keys in weak west-southwest lower tropospheric flow.
