Highway 266 was closed from Highway 168 to Highway 95. Rocks, debris, and mud four to six feet deep blocked a 30 mile stretch of the highway.
Wider weather episode
Broad east to southeast flow advected in monsoon moisture, which fueled thunderstorms over southern Nevada. Several storms produced flash flooding.
