Event narrative

Thunderstorm winds blew down several large trees, numerous tree limbs, and power lines. One tree was uprooted along County Road 602 just south of U.S. Highway 50. Also, the roof of a partially open sided machine shed was heavily damaged.

Wider weather episode

A remnant outflow boundary along the I-70 corridor was the focus for shower and thunderstorm development during the afternoon hours of August 2nd. A few of the storms produced damaging winds and large hail.
