An upper level system moved across the Northern Plains, bringing rain and snow to portions of western South Dakota. Across the northern Black Hills, occasional snow developed, with a period of heavier upslope-enhanced snow during the morning hours of the 24th. Snowfall amounts were highest across the higher elevations and northwest facing slopes, especially from the Cheyenne Crossing to O'Neill Pass, where three to seven inches were reported. A few inches of snow fell over the northern Black Hills into western portions of the central Black Hills.
