Event narrative

Several roads flooded and some barricaded. Flooded roadways included Slop Creek Road and Springdale Road. A bowl-shaped backyard was filled with water up to a trampoline surface. Video of stream flooding shared on social media.

Wider weather episode

Regenerating morning convection anchored over eastern portions of Hamblen County and Morristown produced flash flooding.
