Hot high temperatures in the lower 90s, or 2 to 5 degrees above normal, occurred on August 30. This was just below the Moderate Heat Risk category. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary cause of death for one individual found in the desert northeast of Kino Springs.
