Quarter to golf ball sized hail (one inch to 1 3/4 inch diameter) was reported just north of Holbrook.
Wider weather episode
A trough just to the west of Arizona and southerly flow aloft helped produce scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms. Some storms produced large hail, funnel clouds, and small tornadoes.
