To start October, ongoing drought conditions in all of Northern Phillips County were at (D2-Severe) conditions. These conditions would remain the same through the end of October.

Although October saw normal to above normal rain and snowfall for northeast Montana, above normal temperatures and lingering impacts from the past two years of drought allowed the drought to persist or worsen in spots.
