A public weather station three miles south of Capulin reported a peak wind gust up to 59 mph.

A potent storm system moving eastward toward NM from the Great Basin produced widespread strong winds across central and eastern NM on November 3, 2022. Southwest winds increased over the high terrain during the early morning hours then spread to much of the region with gusts of 45 to 60 mph in many areas. The highest winds impacted the area from near Albuquerque to Clines Corners, Las Vegas, and Raton. Snow was reported with this system as well as much colder air moved into the region. High terrain areas of northern NM picked up their first moderate snowfall amounts of four to eight inches. Minor travel disruptions were reported through the high terrain.
