What the National Weather Service wrote

The Fremont Island - Miller Hill weather station recorded an initial peak wind gust of 61 mph at 8:00 pm MST, and a lesser wind gust of 59 mph at 8:10 pm MST. These gusts were associated with outflow from clusters of showers and thunderstorms moving through the area.

The wider storm

A late September moisture surge yielded isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms from roughly September 28 through the 30, some of which resulted in strong wind gusts. Some isolated flash flooding was noted in some southern Utah locations as well.
