Event narrative

The Snowbasin - Mount Ogden weather station recorded wind gusts of 61 mph at 8:30 pm MST and 8:45 pm MST, and subsequent peak wind gusts of 62 mph at 9:00 pm MST and 9:15 pm MST. These gusts were associated with outflow from clusters of showers and thunderstorms moving through the area.

Wider weather episode

A late September moisture surge yielded isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms from roughly September 28 through the 30, some of which resulted in strong wind gusts. Some isolated flash flooding was noted in some southern Utah locations as well.
