Local stream gauges recorded some initial rises in response to enhanced rainfall rates, but receded quickly without much impact as rains diminished quickly over the area.

Wider weather episode

A cold front reached Kauai on October 2. The rain band associated with the front generated the wettest day of the month for Kauai, with 3 to 5 inches occurring mainly along the north-facing slopes. This enhanced rainfall did not cause significant flooding problems.
