Widespread roadway flooding and some property inundation occurred in the tidal areas of Sussex County. The tide gauge at Lewes reached 7.43 feet MLLW, the tide gauge at Dewey Beach reached 4.99 feet MLLW, and the tide gauge at Indian River Inlet reached 5.97 feet MLLW.

Wider weather episode

Low pressure remained off the Middle Atlantic Coast from October 2nd through 5th, before moving out to sea on the 6th. The low maintained an onshore flow along the coasts of New Jersey and Delaware during that period of time.
