Winter Weather in Southern Centre, Pennsylvania

A period of moderate snow led to slick roads and a stretch of US Route 322 eastbound was closed in Harris Township for nearly two hours.

A weak area of low pressure pushed up the Ohio Valley during the afternoon and evening of November 15, 2022. This system pushed wet snow into central Pennsylvania, with light rain in the Lower Susquehanna Valley. A quick 3 to 5 inches of snow accumulated from the Laurel Highlands northeastward across the Ridge and Valley region. Although it was only an Advisory-level event, it was the first accumulating snowfall of the year and there were numerous traffic accidents and road closures.
