An active pattern brought a series of disturbances across the area, producing periods of snow across the northern into central Black Hills area. The strongest disturbance passed through the area during the overnight and daytime hours of the 15th, producing areas of moderate to heavy snow. The highest snowfall totals overall on the 14th and 15th were across the northern Black Hills, where over a foot was recorded in favored higher elevations from Lead to Cheyenne Crossing and O'Neill Pass. Narrow bands of heavy snow and high snow ratios produced some localized amounts of six inches or more, especially across the adjacent foothills.
