Event narrative
The Blackburn Fire is located just north of the Heller Creek Campground near the headwaters of the St. Joe River. It was discovered on August 14. It lasted until September 30. Several other fires were detected the same weekend, all from a single lightning storm days before. It has burned 360 acres of timber.
