Snowfall totals in SW St. Lawrence ranged from 8 to 33 inches with Gouverneur reporting 33 inches, 16 inches in Fowler, 10 inches in Morristown and 8 inches in Ogdensburg.

A favorable synoptic pattern with sub-freezing, uniform southwest flow over the long fetch of Lake Ontario on Friday 11/18 created a epic lake effect snow band that moved across the eastern shores of Lake Ontario and eventually into southern St. Lawrence and Franklin counties in NY. Total snowfall totals ranged from 4 to 10 inches across southern Franklin county and 8 to 30+ inches in southern St. Lawrence county with snowfall rates in excess of 2-3 inches per hour at times in the heaviest snowfall communities.
