Event narrative
Waves estimated to be six feet high swept across Lake Havasu due to severe thunderstorm winds. Multiple boaters in distress were rescued from their crafts and from the water. One person was trapped under a capsized craft near the Havasu Landing Casino and drowned.

A complex of thunderstorms over Mohave County, Arizona made it across the Colorado River and produced wind damage in Needles before dissipating.
