Event narrative

Severe drought conditions from October 2022 persisted through November.

Wider weather episode

November 2022 was much drier for most of the state with only a couple snowfall events across the northern high terrain. Very little improvement was made to drought conditions as most areas picked up less than one-quarter inch of precipitation for November. By months end, roughly 18 percent of the state was in severe to extreme drought, of which about 3 percent was extreme drought.
