Event narrative
Heavy snow fell during the evening hours of November 12th extending through much of the early morning hours of November 13th. Total snowfall ranged from 4 to 7 inches. A public report of 6 inches of snow accumulation was received at 11:11 AM LST November 13th in Berrien Springs, MI. The snow was heavy and wet in nature and started to accumulate on roadways late in the evening as temperatures dropped below freezing. Roads became slick with some slide-offs reported.

Lake effect snow showers intensified on the evening of November 12th and continued through the early morning hours of November 13th. The heaviest snow accumulations occurred across portions of Berrien County where 5 to 9 inches of snowfall were received. Impacts from the snowfall increased during the early morning hours on November 13th as temperatures dropped below freezing allowing for snow-covered roads to develop and hazardous travel conditions.
