The observer in Parent Bay measured south wind gusts of 60 mph or higher through much of the period with a peak gust of 68 mph. The observer said that his bird feeder was knocked down and his power was fluctuating.

A rapidly-deepening low pressure system lifting north through Wisconsin and western Upper Michigan brought storm force south winds to portions of the bay of Green Bay and northern Lake Michigan during the late afternoon of the 5th.
