Sea level rose and high waves crashed onto the roads for this timeframe, mainly south and east facing shores. The high-impacted villages include: Fatu ma Futi, Aunu'u, Alega, Laulii, and Tula. These villages experienced damages to roads, road closure, and debris covering roadways. A national declaration was declared for American Samoa due to the widespread damage from this event.
