A strong dust storm, originating in Yuma County (Arizona) and Imperial County moved into San Diego and Riverside Counties on October 6. Widespread reports of strong winds and severely reduced visibility were received across the deserts, mountains and inland valleys. AWOS station KL08 Borrego Springs Valley Airport reported visibility less than 1/4 mile.
