Event narrative
County comms reported flash flooding developed along tributaries of the Tallulah River in south central Rabun County ater 1 to 2.5 inches of rain fell over the course of a few hours. This was in addition to the 3 to 5 inches that had fallen over the area since the 2nd. Ramey Rd, Shady Ln, and Old Highway 441 were inundated by overflowing creeks.

Heavy rain fell off and on throughout the first few days of September in the vicinity of a stalled frontal zone. A period of heavy rain during the morning of the 5th resulted in 1 to 2.5 inches in just a few hours across southern Rabun County, resulting in isolated flash flooding in the Tallulah River basin.
